Plant Description

Sedum voodoo is a reliable herbaceous perennial, with pink flowers in summer into autumn and purple deciduous foliage. This Stonecrop is an excellent choice for borders, containers, rockery, patio, ground cover, where it brings colour, texture and seasonal interest. It performs best in full sun and rewards the right position with reliable garden performance.

Sedum voodoo is straightforward to grow with routine care and suits a wide range of garden styles. Reaching around 0.5m at maturity, it is suitable for outdoor growing in most UK gardens and works well in borders, containers or mixed planting schemes. Supplied in a 1L Pot, this size offers a practical starting point for planting out, patio displays or growing on at home.

Planting & Aftercare

Choose a pot with drainage holes slightly larger than the nursery pot. Use well-draining potting mix. Place the plant at the same depth it was in the original pot. Water thoroughly after planting.

Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. In spring and summer, this is typically once a week. Reduce watering in autumn and winter. Always check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.

Overwatering is the most common issue. Avoid placing in direct sunlight which can scorch leaves. Don't repot too frequently - most plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Reduce or stop feeding in winter when growth naturally slows.
