Plant Description

The Monotone Garden Starter Collection is a refined green and white planting scheme designed for calm, elegant and contemporary gardens. Featuring Euonymus japonicus 'Green Spire' Ball, Hebe topiaria, Hydrangea paniculata 'Pastel Green', Thuja occidentalis 'Tiny Tim', Hedera helix 'Glacier', Carex 'Vanilla Ice', Osmunda regalis, Hebe 'Lime Zest', Carex 'Feather Falls', Calluna 'Gold Haze', Juniperus communis 'Compressa' and Dicksonia antarctica, this collection focuses on structure, texture and tonal foliage.

Perfect for UK gardens, shaded borders, courtyard gardens and modern outdoor spaces, this monotone garden collection uses evergreen structure, soft grasses, architectural ferns and pale flowering interest to create a calm and cohesive look. Euonymus, hebe, thuja and juniper provide clipped and compact form, while ivy, carex, calluna and ferns add movement and foliage contrast. Hydrangea 'Pastel Green' brings soft seasonal flowers that complement the restrained green, white and cream palette.

Supplied as a curated starter collection in mixed pot sizes, this set is ideal for creating a stylish monotone border, evergreen garden scheme or low-key contemporary planting display.

Planting & Aftercare

Choose a pot with drainage holes slightly larger than the nursery pot. Use well-draining potting mix. Place the plant at the same depth it was in the original pot. Water thoroughly after planting.
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. In spring and summer, this is typically once a week. Reduce watering in autumn and winter. Always check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.
Overwatering is the most common issue. Avoid placing in direct sunlight which can scorch leaves. Don't repot too frequently - most plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Reduce or stop feeding in winter when growth naturally slows.
