Plant Description

Hydrangea pan. 'Graffiti' is a versatile shrub grown for the appeal of Hydrangea paniculata 'Graffiti', with pink / blue / white flowers from summer into autumn and green deciduous foliage. This Hydrangea is an excellent choice for borders, containers and woodland-style planting, where it brings colour, texture and seasonal interest. It is especially effective from summer into autumn, and performs best in sun or partial shade.

Hydrangea pan. 'Graffiti' is straightforward to look after with routine care and suits a wide range of garden styles, from traditional borders to more contemporary planting combinations. Reaching around 1.8m at maturity, it is best planted towards the back of a border and in pots and containers with sun or partial shade. As a deciduous plant, it brings a fresh flush of new growth each season. It is suitable for outdoor growing in most UK gardens. It performs best in clay or loam soils with moist conditions. It can also be a useful plant for bees and beneficial insects.

Planting & Aftercare

Choose a pot with drainage holes slightly larger than the nursery pot. Use well-draining potting mix. Place the plant at the same depth it was in the original pot. Water thoroughly after planting.
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. In spring and summer, this is typically once a week. Reduce watering in autumn and winter. Always check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.
Overwatering is the most common issue. Avoid placing in direct sunlight which can scorch leaves. Don't repot too frequently - most plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Reduce or stop feeding in winter when growth naturally slows.
