Plant Description

The Cottagecore Starter Collection is a romantic mix of flowering shrubs, scented lavender, roses, foxgloves, echinacea, alliums, ferns and soft cottage garden perennials, designed to create a relaxed, nostalgic planting scheme full of colour, texture and wildlife-friendly interest. Featuring favourites such as Hydrangea macrophylla 'Nikko Blue', Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight', Flower Carpet Roses, Lavender 'Hidcote', white lavender, Digitalis, Echinacea, Heuchera and Dianthus, this collection is ideal for creating a soft and informal cottage garden border, patio display or mixed planting scheme.

Perfect for UK gardens, this cottagecore plant collection brings together pastel flowers, fragrant foliage, pollinator-friendly blooms and layered planting textures. Plant in full sun to partial shade, using the hydrangeas, roses and foxgloves for structure and height, with lavender, salvia, alliums, dianthus and echinacea adding long-lasting seasonal colour. Ferns and heuchera help soften the scheme with attractive foliage, making this collection well suited to borders, front gardens, wildlife gardens and country-style spaces.

Supplied as a curated starter collection in mixed pot sizes, this set offers a practical way to begin building a charming cottage garden look at home.

Planting & Aftercare

Choose a pot with drainage holes slightly larger than the nursery pot. Use well-draining potting mix. Place the plant at the same depth it was in the original pot. Water thoroughly after planting.
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. In spring and summer, this is typically once a week. Reduce watering in autumn and winter. Always check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.
Overwatering is the most common issue. Avoid placing in direct sunlight which can scorch leaves. Don't repot too frequently - most plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Reduce or stop feeding in winter when growth naturally slows.
