Plant Description

The Cottagecore Signature Collection is a generous, romantic planting scheme filled with classic cottage garden plants, flowering shrubs, climbing roses, scented lavender, foxgloves, lupins, nepeta, verbena, echinacea, phlox and soft foliage plants. Featuring Hydrangea macrophylla 'Nikko Blue', Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight', Flower Carpet Roses, Golden Showers Climbing Rose, Ozeania Climbing Rose, Lavender 'Hidcote', Digitalis, Echinacea, Heuchera, Lupins and Nepeta, this collection is ideal for creating a full, layered and highly decorative cottage garden border.

Designed for colour, scent, texture and pollinator appeal, this cottagecore garden collection is perfect for UK gardens where a relaxed, abundant and romantic planting style is desired. Use the hydrangeas and roses to create structure and focal points, with foxgloves, lupins and verbena adding height and movement. Lavender, nepeta, salvia, dianthus, phlox and echinacea provide long-lasting flowers for bees and butterflies, while heuchera and ferns bring foliage contrast and softness throughout the season.

Supplied as a curated signature collection in mixed pot sizes, this set is a beautiful choice for transforming borders, cottage garden spaces, pathways, patios and informal planting areas.

Planting & Aftercare

Choose a pot with drainage holes slightly larger than the nursery pot. Use well-draining potting mix. Place the plant at the same depth it was in the original pot. Water thoroughly after planting.
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. In spring and summer, this is typically once a week. Reduce watering in autumn and winter. Always check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.
Overwatering is the most common issue. Avoid placing in direct sunlight which can scorch leaves. Don't repot too frequently - most plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Reduce or stop feeding in winter when growth naturally slows.
