Plant Description

The Chaos Garden Starter Collection is a vibrant, pollinator-friendly mix of poppies, daisies, geraniums, achillea, vinca, knautia, echinacea, verbena and echinops, designed to create a loose, colourful and naturalistic planting scheme. Featuring Papaver, Leucanthemum 'Banana Cream', Geranium varieties, Achillea 'Cerise Queen', Achillea 'Terracotta', Knautia, Echinacea 'Sunseekers Red', Echinacea 'Sunrise', Echinacea 'Strawberry and Cream', Verbena and Echinops ritro 'Veitch's Blue', this collection is ideal for relaxed borders with a wild, joyful feel.

This chaos garden collection brings together bold colour, airy flowers, contrasting textures and wildlife-friendly blooms for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Plant in full sun to partial shade, allowing poppies, achillea, echinacea, knautia and verbena to create a free-flowing, meadow-inspired effect. Geraniums and vinca provide softer groundcover, while echinops adds architectural blue flower heads and long-lasting border interest.

Supplied as a curated starter collection in mixed pot sizes, this set is a practical way to begin creating a colourful chaos garden, informal perennial border or naturalistic wildlife-friendly planting scheme.

Planting & Aftercare

Choose a pot with drainage holes slightly larger than the nursery pot. Use well-draining potting mix. Place the plant at the same depth it was in the original pot. Water thoroughly after planting.
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil feels dry. In spring and summer, this is typically once a week. Reduce watering in autumn and winter. Always check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.
Overwatering is the most common issue. Avoid placing in direct sunlight which can scorch leaves. Don't repot too frequently - most plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Reduce or stop feeding in winter when growth naturally slows.
